Welcome to Trailer Trash fun! Mark Gemini's long running Gemini Men features hundreds of videos of gay-for-pay guys who might be called rough trade or, less generously, white trash. The dudes are usually unpolished, the action is sometimes awkward, and the productions are often amateurish. And for precisely those reasons Gemini Men can be smoking hot, in a beer cans and bus stations sort of way. While there are some serious design flaws with this site, and the older videos are currently offline for remastering, Gemini Men is surprisingly hot, and a great place to find rough rednecks into cock.

Tour

Gemini Men's tour doesn't offer much in the way of details, but it certainly conveys the down-at-the-heels flavor of the site. Several pages of mid-sized thumbnails and brief but breathless scene descriptions are all you'll see of the Gemini Men catalog...although a short, slow to load preview clip does top the tour's first page. In short: it's a lousy tour.

Usability

Gemini Men has been online since 2001, and the navigation looks like it's still stuck there. There's lots of content on the site, but the "web 1.0" design makes it a chore to find. The hand-coded video pages are organized chronologically by update, as are the image archives, but neither is accompanied by any kind of search or sort function ... or a link back to the first page. The busy typography and layout aren't that easy on the eyes, either. Clicking through the video update pages, you'll suddenly butt up against the "video archives" which have a completely different design to them. All this content -- the old and the new -- needs to go into a proper content management system.

The Men and the Action

There's never a dull moment on Gemini Men ... Zoom in on "Mike", doing his best to sit on a Chris Lord dildo. He's got dirty nails, a hairy chest, and a big dick with three "Xs" tattooed on it. Zoom in on "JR", a cute 26-year-old pictured with a long-neck beer bottle, and later, a zucchini up his butt.

These tatted up and ripped bi / straight dudes look like they were plucked out of construction sites and parking lots and then plopped down in a dingy leopard print bedroom somewhere south of nowhere. Most seem kinda bewildered to find themselves naked, sucking dick and getting fucked under the pushy direction of an unseen cameraman. And it's precisely the friction between what you'd expect these real guys to be doing, and what they are doing, that accounts for Gemini Men's quite occasional erotic home-runs. If you're looking for passion then this site isn't for you: the guys are sometimes into the sex, but there's no romance here.

Video Details

The videos on Gemini Men are amateurish, that's a part of their appeal. The lighting is bright but harsh, the sound is audible but brassy, and the camerawork is a little clumsy. The overall viewing quality is average to good with the action front-and-center in the single camera's eye.

At this review, there are almost 370 videos -- down from the 450 videos we counted a year prior. We are told by Mark Gemini that this is due to an ambitious project to remaster over 150 videos shot prior to June, 2009. Most of the DRM-free videos are between 15 and 30 minutes in length and, in the last 30 months a new one is added three times a week.

Image and Other Content

Gemini Men has a huge selection of image galleries. Those in the confusing "old" portion of the site are unsearchable and have a very basic design. Most of the pics are about 600x400, though some are larger. In the "new" episode index however, you'll find almost 370 more conventional image galleries. There's no option to download as zip files or view as a slideshow.

Summing Up

In the end, those cute rednecks won us over. Despite slow download times and frustrating navigation, Gemini Men has a crude charm, a lot of content and a reasonable price, so if you're into genuine gay-for-pay guys who really will push their own limits for the money, ignore the flaws and go for it! After all, where else can you see a cute guy voluntarily put a beer bottle up his butt?
