Bear Films' offers over 200 very beary videos, along with scenes and thousands of pictures drawn from the studio's long list of DVD titles. They call themselves the biggest bear site on the web and it's probably true. Aside from a forest full of bears, it offers some nice extras like stories, a calendar of furry events and several video feeds. But while bear lovers will be very pleased with the overall quality of this well-designed studio site, they may be disappointed with the fact that video streams only.

Tour

The Bear Films tour allows you to roam freely around the video, model, and image rosters but they only show you one large thumbnail image and the title for each video or picture set. If you click on any of these you'll be sent to the join page. There are a couple of recent, explicit preview clips on the homepage. A little more generosity on the tour would be welcome.

Usability

Bear Films has undergone a redesign, making for a cleaner look and easier navigation. There is good cross-referencing between a model, his featured videos and his video capture galleries and there's also a general search box.

The Men and the Action

These men are the real deal. Big and furry, masculine and studly, they are rough-looking everyday guys. Cowboys on a ranch, mechanics, construction foremen, daddies, or just your average bears enjoying a romp with a young cub. You'll find quite a variety of ages, races, body types and facial hair, but most are big, white, hairy and hunky. Even though there are some young guys featured, cubs make up a minority of the model count. A lot of these guys are heavy, but there are also some trim studs in the mix.

Models are identified by name, place of origin, body stats, their preferences, and the videos they’re in. In those videos, the action often gets down and dirty. There's plenty of sucking, fucking, butt munching, and lots of growling. In the fetish department, these guys are into leather, domination, fisting, and slings, among other kinks. The models are interviewed briefly during the "Screen Test" videos.

The viewing quality of the videos is good. There's lots of light, a crisp picture, clear sound and a decent variation of medium and closeup shots. Cumshots are almost always caught.

Video Details

At this review there are almost 217 videos at Bear Films; about two-thirds are totally exclusive and the rest are semi-exclusive, from about 40 DVD titles. The average running time is 15 minutes and video is updated about once a week. As mentioned, the videos stream only; no downloads are allowed.

Image and Other Content

There are almost 800 image sets, divided into Action Pics and Model Pics. Picture quality is good and some sets feature more than 200 pictures (the average is 60 to 100 pics per set.) Photos can be displayed in a Flash slideshow and can be downloaded in a zip file.

There are also photos from bear events around the country, showing real guys attending bear roundups, poolside parties and beef balls. An unusual feature that Bear Films presents is a section of erotic bear fiction, 17 hot and steamy tales. There are also video feeds from Cyber Bears, Rearstable, Hot Desert Knights, Fetish Force and Treasure Island.

Summing Up

The video on Bear Films is good quality, though it streams only. The bears on the 200+ videos here are a unique group of performers who really get into the sex. With several bonus feeds and plenty of image sets, Bear Films offers a lot for fans of big and hairy men .
