San Diego based Buzz West thinks hot is hot, so whether it's local guys, marines, or young porn stars you'll see them in solo and action videos on this site. There are good quality downloads, great looking digital images, and a generous helping of bonus video plug-ins.

Unfortunately, during the past year the site has not been updated; in fact thirty videos have been taken off-line for HD remastering. These are scheduled to be re-introduced as "new" weekly updates. This situation is far from ideal for the consumer -- the resources might have been better spent on ensuring fresh content.

Tour

The Buzz West tour is partial mirror-type tour. There are three explicit preview clips on the main page, and you can access each of the video pages to view a description and five small thumbnail pics; however none of the thumbnails open up to a larger size and there are no preview clips, except for the 4 most recent episodes. Clicking on any other thumbnails on the tour will take you to the sign-up page.

Usability

Navigating around Buzz West is pretty easy. The site design is characterized by large, sharp graphics on a dark gray background with the main contents list running across the top and down the left column of most pages. Models can be sorted by newest added, alphabetically or popularity, but there are no other search functions.

The Men and the Action

There is a good variety of body types and cock sizes among these mostly white 19- to 26-year-old guys. Buzz talks with them (sometimes for too long) to get them to relax. Some proper model bios and stats rather than so much chatting might be an improvement. He also gets some of the guys to agree to a sensual massage resulting in "full release".

Technical quality of the videos is good. The videos generally display with good clarity, lots of light and rich, clear sound, though the older ones have more of a gritty quality to them. There's a decent variety of medium and closeup shots, varied poses, and the cumshots are almost always caught. Still, the videos will definitely benefit from having a higher bitrate.

Video Details

For the reasons detailed above, since our last review of Buzz West the video count has actually decreased. There are now almost 270 episodes on the site, which has not been updated for several months. The process of re-introducing upgraded videos was scheduled to start in summer, 2011. There is no DRM on the videos.

Image and Other Content

As for the still images, there are now more than 18,000 in 300 image galleries. Some of the galleries are digital photos, while others are a mix of photos and video captures. Check out the cool image viewer with a resizer, zoom and slideshow.

Buzz West also provides 26 bonus feeds (which they call "sites") from several suppliers to sweeten the deal and increase your membership value. These total hundreds more video clips.

Summing Up

Buzz West definitely serves up a nice variety of hot, masculine amateurs, but has suffered in the last year from a dearth of video updates, buffering streams and slow downloads. Still, if this type of man appeals to you, there is still good value here at $20 monthly.
