The English Lads tour is very thorough, but there are only a few video trailers, and they are randomly placed. You're able to view the complete episode index ("updates") which gives a text description and video option details. And check out the model pages to find nine digital photos for each model. On the homepage are preview photos for the most recent video and photo updates and some drop-down menus for sorting the photosets, videos and models by various criteria. In the right column, throughout the site, you'll find a rotating list of members' favorites. The site has many search options, but they appear in different formats in different places on the site. Also the main horizontal menu does not have a straightforward link to all of the videos. Overall the site design would benefit from some simplification.

The Men and the Action

The almost 390 models range from twinks, to collegiate guys, to muscular top-lads, ages 18-26. Viewing quality of the videos is excellent, even the oldest ones; they all have a professional quality of lighting, sound and composition. The camera moves fluidly around the model's body and hones in on details and body parts.

Our only reservation: at times the model interviews run a bit too long and videographer Nick tends to chat with the object or our affection throughout the video. This is partly fixed by skipping the full-length video and watching the shorter version instead. We'd also like to see Nick's own fingers and mouth in fewer of the video segments, some of which are also punctuated by camera flashes and pops.

The site boasts over 600 exclusive videos, and English Lads has a frequent update schedule of six new video segments per month. The majority of the videos have no DRM on them, but the very oldest 180 do and can only be kept for viewing for 30 days. The videos are offered in a short edit of 16 minutes or full-length, often running to 30 minutes.

Image and Other Content

If you're into sexy photos, you'll be impressed. There are almost 260,000 crystal-clear digital images on English Lads. Every body part is lovingly photographed. You have the option of two photos sizes and the slide-show option should not be skipped. However, this is the only site we've seen that restricts access to pictures: In order to get any zip files you have to be a member for 120 day; youre zip file download limit is 5 per day; and only after 120 days do you get to see the supersized 1000x1500 version of the pics.

There are a few additional bells and whistles on English Lads, including a newsletter, a blog, a voting system for rating your favorite lad, and lots of behind-the-scenes videos.
